A quite-not-so-first taste of real coffee
As an ode to myself, I treated myself to a much deserved coffee break at... Where else, no need to mention the name. After having been gone to have my hair cut (I now have a picture of a bunch of people saying "Mukha kang totoy") I eagerly walked a few meters from the salon the the coffeeshop whose name sounds more of a fad. I walked inside and smiled at the barista. She smiled back at me and I happily said...
"I'll have a Grande-Almond-Caffe'-Mocha. For Here."That was perfect. Nothing could ruin this night I reserved for myself. Then I remembered..."Could you add a Caramel Belgian Waffle?"Sweet. A perfect treat to go with my mocha. I went upstairs and got me a nice spot. This looks a'ight. Not too cold, as the aircon was spotted not too far yet not to near, yet with just enough lighting to read my nursing journal. I was eager to have my first sip in weeks. I took the cup and put it near my mouth. Another "hmmm..." The scent of espresso was seeping through my nasal cavities. "Hmmm...strong..."I had my first taste of my dear caffe' mocha and the experience was just plain...exhilarating. The mocha was there but the shot of espresso just gave the mocha an extra angle of adventure in it. All right, I just had to try how it goes with my caramel waffle. As I expected, excellente! An hour passed and the whole voyage to espresso town was finished. Right now, the hot texture of my caffe' mocha still gives me a punch in the head. That's one drink down. Note to self: Try Tall-Sugar-free-Vanilla-Mango-Tea-Frappuccino next. Second Note to Self: Treat Egay to a Tall-Hazelnut-White-Chocolate-Mocha-decaff for her birthday. Or not. She could barely survive the espresso. Maybe a latte' will do.
